The United Arab Emirates (abbreviated as UAE) is a federal state in the east of the Arabian Peninsula, consisting of 7 semi-autonomous monarchies-emirates. Today, the resorts of the UAE attract up to 13 million tourists a year with their picturesque nature, the purity of the sea, well-groomed beaches and the almost complete absence of rainy days.
Even in the middle of the twentieth century. it was a poor British colony whose inhabitants made ends meet by fishing, camel breeding and pearl fishing. Everything changed in the 1960s, when the richest oil deposits were discovered in the UAE. After that, the country, which gained independence in 1971, began to develop at a rapid pace. Industry, power plants, entire plants for desalination of sea water appear here.
