The Seychelles are a group of small islands scattered across the expanses of the Indian Ocean north of Madagascar and east of Tanzania. In total, the archipelago includes 115 islands of volcanic origin and coral atolls with a total area of 455 km², of which only 30 are inhabited. Despite their small size, the Seychelles are one of the most popular tourist destinations in Africa.
