Brussels is the capital of Belgium and the European Union. It also houses the main administrative buildings of the Benelux countries and the NATO office.
Belgium developed at the intersection of two cultures: French and Dutch. In the XIV – XVIII centuries, the influence of the Flemish Baroque and Gothic prevailed in architecture. In the following period, the French style took over. Brussels grew up on the fusion of these two styles, and its palaces, shopping galleries, famous sculptures and museums are ready to welcome everyone without exception.
