Hong Kong is not just a city, but a whole region of China. Geographically, it covers the island of the same name, the Kowloon Peninsula, small nearby islands, as well as the so-called “New Territories”. On three sides, Hong Kong is washed by the waters of the South China Sea, and tourists are interested in objects both in the city itself and in the areas adjacent to it.
In Hong Kong, the general area is divided into 4 parts, in each of which you can see outstanding objects of culture, architecture or religion. This is the island itself, famous since the colonial era, which does not prevent Hong Kong from remaining a major financial and tourist metropolis. The Kowloon area or Kowloon (as the locals call it) is home to some of the most visited malls and markets. A separate area is the New Territories, in which it is customary to visit natural parks, beaches, or other favorite places for recreation. About 265 objects adjoin the Separate Islands belonging to Hong Kong, among them Lantau Island with the famous Disneyland. Most of these islands are popular for their food, beaches and water activities.
