Kuala Lumpur is the young capital of Malaysia, the city is just over 150 years old. It began its history at the mouth of two rivers: Gombak and Klang. It was here that in the middle of the 19th century, adventurers and seekers found deposits of tin. Due to the high concentration of this metal in the ground, the waters of two rivers are painted in a dirty brown color. Hence the name of the city, which literally translates as “dirty mouth.” Kuala Lumpur quickly grew in tin mining. And when the metal reserves were depleted, the city began to develop as the administrative center of the British colonial regime.
Today, the capital of Malaysia is a large metropolis with many interesting sights. Among them are the famous Petronas Towers, Batu Caves, Menara TV Tower, Central Market, National Museum, National Mosque.
